Smart Hubs

An Aqara hub holds the Zigbee network that most Aqara sensors, switches and controllers join, runs supported automations locally, and connects that network to the home router. Hubs differ in how many child devices they carry, whether they also act as a Thread border router or a Matter controller, whether they include an infrared blaster for air-conditioner control, and whether a camera is built in. The Hub M200 and Hub M3 both take a single PoE cable for power and data, which matters wherever Wi-Fi coverage at the intended hub position is unreliable.
