How Aqara automations are structured.
Every automation starts with an event, checks any required conditions, and runs one or more actions.
This structure keeps the response specific. A motion sensor can turn on a light only after sunset, or an air-conditioner can start only when the room is both warm and occupied.

- Turn the corridor lights on at 10% brightness, then off two minutes after the corridor is clear.
Empty-room energy control

Warm occupied room

- The room temperature passes 28°C

- Send a phone notification naming the door that is open.
