A central command centre for the whole home
The M200 is your smart home command centre — tying Matter, Thread and Aqara Zigbee devices together and pushing them into whichever platform you already run: Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings or Home Assistant, all with proper local control.
- Matter controller — manage 50+ Matter device types directly from the Aqara Home app
- Thread border router & mesh extender — bridges Thread to your Wi-Fi or Ethernet and widens the mesh's reach
- Hub & Matter bridge for Aqara Zigbee — brings your Aqara sensors, switches and lights into the major ecosystems
- Advanced Matter bridging — carries native Aqara features across to third-party platforms, not just basic connectivity

Turn the aircon into a Matter thermostat
The 360° IR blaster replaces the pile of remotes — and it listens, too. Reach for the original remote and the hub detects the signal, keeping on/off and mode in sync. Pair it with an Aqara Climate Sensor and an IR air conditioner gains thermostat-style control inside Matter: set a target temperature and let real room readings switch it on and off — a genuine win in Singapore's climate.
- Accurate status feedback — detects your existing remote so on/off and mode stay in sync
- Aircon into Matter — thermostat-style control for one IR air conditioner, triggered by real room temperature
- One room at a time — IR can't pass through walls, so mount the M200 near the appliances it controls, within about 10 m

Local automations that survive the internet
Aqara's Automations 2.0 engine follows simple WHEN-IF-THEN logic, so you can bundle several devices, conditions and times into a single routine. Best of all, automations that once bounced through the cloud now run locally on the hub — faster, more private, and still working when the connection drops.
- WHEN-IF-THEN logic — combine device, situation, time and state conditions in one automation
- Runs on the hub — local automations keep your home responding even during an internet outage
- Real triggers — switch the aircon on at 29.5°C, or turn on the lights the moment presence is detected

Dual-band Wi-Fi 6, or a single PoE cable
Run it on dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (2.4 and 5 GHz) with WPA3 security, or drop it straight onto your network over a single PoE cable that carries power and data at once. USB-C is there as an alternative.
- Power over Ethernet — one cable to a PoE switch handles both power and network
- Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with WPA3 — 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, with current-generation security
- USB-C powered — a simple alternative where PoE isn't available

A 90 dB speaker that doubles as an alarm
The built-in 90 dB speaker is loud enough to do real work. Use it for doorbell chimes, alarm-clock wake-ups and your own uploaded audio — or wire it into your security scenes so a triggered door or motion sensor sets off a proper alarm.
- 90 dB built-in speaker — doorbell chimes, alarm-clock alerts and audio you upload yourself
- Security siren — pair with Aqara sensors so an intrusion sounds an immediate alarm
- Custom audio — record and upload your own alerts and messages to the hub

A 5V⎓2A USB power adapter is not included. Only one IR-controlled air conditioner can be bridged to AC mode — use Advanced Matter Bridging for multiple units, and install the hub near the AC for reliable range. IR signals can't pass through walls, so the hub controls only appliances in the same room, up to about 10 m. Voice control needs the Aqara Voice Mate H1, sold separately — check current Singapore availability. Some cloud features, such as push notifications, still require an internet connection.
Frequently asked questions
What does the Hub M200 do?
It is a whole-home command centre: a Matter controller for 50+ device types, a Thread border router, and an Aqara Zigbee hub for up to 40 Zigbee plus 40 Thread devices. It pushes everything into whichever platform you already run — Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings or Home Assistant — with proper local control.
Can the M200 control my air conditioner?
Yes. Its 360° IR blaster replaces the remote, and pairing it with an Aqara Climate Sensor gives an ordinary IR aircon thermostat-style control inside Matter — set a target temperature and let real room readings switch it on and off. IR cannot pass through walls, so mount the hub in the same room as the appliances it controls, within about 10 m; one aircon can be bridged to AC mode.
Do automations keep working if the internet goes down?
Yes — Automations 2.0 routines run locally on the hub itself, so presence-triggered lights or a switch-on-at-29.5°C aircon rule keep firing during an outage. Cloud-dependent extras such as push notifications still need an internet connection.
Does the M200 need to be wired to my router?
No — it runs on dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with WPA3. If you prefer wired, a single PoE cable carries both power and data, or you can power it over USB-C (a 5V/2A adapter is not included in the box).
