Add Thread to the setup you already run
Already have a hub? The M100 slots in as a Thread Border Router, bringing Thread support to your existing smart home. It doubles as a mesh extender too, boosting the range and reliability of your Thread network so far-flung devices stay connected.

One bridge into every major ecosystem
The M100 connects your Aqara Zigbee and Thread devices to Apple Home, Amazon Alexa and Google Home, while acting as both a Matter Bridge and a Matter Controller. Matter bridging syncs Aqara scenes and signals with platforms like Home Assistant, and pulls in third-party Matter gear for unified control.
- Works both ways — brings Aqara devices out to other ecosystems, and third-party Matter devices into the Aqara Home app
- Wide device support — lights, thermostats, outlets, switches, buttons and sensors
- Local automations — Zigbee and Matter rules run on your LAN, no cloud round-trip required

Powers off anything with a USB port
Power and data run through a single USB-A plug, so the M100 runs off a power bank, a wall adapter, your PC, or straight from the back of your router. The 210° adjustable shaft angles it neatly into any socket — a clean, tucked-away setup wherever you need coverage.

Frequently asked questions
What does the Hub M100 actually do?
It is the bridge between Aqara devices and the rest of your smart home: a Zigbee hub and Thread border router that connects up to 20 Zigbee and 20 Thread devices, then presents them to Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Home Assistant via Matter. It plugs into any USB-A port and is just 8 mm slim, so it tucks in behind a router or into a wall adapter.
Can the M100 control my aircon?
No — the M100 has no IR blaster. If you want to control an infrared air conditioner, choose the Hub M200 or M3 instead; both add a 360° IR blaster that can present the aircon as a thermostat through Matter.
Do I need the M100 if I already have an Aqara hub?
It depends what the existing hub can do. The M100 is a neat way to add Thread border router and Matter controller functions to a Zigbee-only setup, and it doubles as a Thread mesh extender to improve range and reliability. If your hub is already a Thread border router (M200, M3), the M100 adds capacity and coverage rather than new functions.
M100 or M200 — which should I buy?
Pick the M100 for the smallest footprint: dual-protocol Zigbee and Thread with Matter, powered off any USB port. Pick the M200 if you also want IR aircon control, a built-in speaker, PoE networking and double the device capacity. The guide 'Which Aqara hub should you buy?' in our Articles section compares all four current hubs in detail.
