Five ways to sense. Endless ways to automate.
PIR and 60GHz mmWave radar in one battery-powered sensor — it knows you're in the room even when you're sitting perfectly still.

Knows you're there, even when you're still
Pairing a PIR sensor with 60GHz mmWave radar, the FP300 detects both movement and stationary presence — so the lights won't cut out while you're reading on the sofa. A 120° field of view and 6m range cover the whole room from a single spot.
- Catches the small stuff — reads breathing-level stillness the way plain motion sensors can't
- AI spatial learning — filters out curtains, fans and small pets, and fine-tunes itself over time to cut false triggers
- Tune it your way — adjust detection range, sensitivity and absence-delay timing in the Aqara Home app

Presence, comfort and light in a single sensor
Beyond presence, the FP300 packs light, temperature and humidity sensors — the readings that make automations genuinely smart. One tidy sensor replaces three, and every value can trigger a scene.
- Ambient light — hold off the lights until the room actually needs them
- Temperature & humidity — kick the aircon into cooling mode when a room gets warm or sticky
- Presence-aware scenes — combine presence with light and climate data for automations that just work

Zigbee or Thread, mounted anywhere
Run it over Thread to connect straight into Matter platforms, or over Zigbee with an Aqara hub for the full set of in-app controls. Two CR2450 batteries keep it going for years, and the multi-axis magnetic bracket sticks it wherever you need — no wiring, no drama.
- Dual protocol — Thread into Apple Home, Google Home, SmartThings, Alexa and Home Assistant via Matter, or Zigbee via an Aqara hub
- Years on a coin cell — up to 3 years in Zigbee mode, up to 2 years in Thread mode, on two replaceable CR2450s
- Mount it anywhere — wall, ceiling, corner or magnetic surface, angled exactly where it needs to look

Zigbee mode requires an Aqara Zigbee hub; Thread mode requires a Thread-enabled Matter controller (e.g. a Thread border router). Matter feature support varies by ecosystem. Battery life is based on Aqara lab testing and varies with settings, connected ecosystem and usage. Please confirm current SG hub compatibility with PFE before purchase.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a hub for the FP300?
Yes — one of two kinds, depending on the mode you run it in. Zigbee mode uses an Aqara Zigbee hub for the full set of in-app controls; Thread mode needs a Matter controller with Thread border router support, connecting it to Apple Home, Google Home, SmartThings, Alexa or Home Assistant via Matter.
How long does the battery last?
Up to three years in Zigbee mode, or up to two years in Thread mode, on two replaceable CR2450 coin cells. That means no wiring at all — the multi-axis magnetic bracket mounts on a wall, ceiling or corner with no power point needed.
Will the lights stay on while I sit still?
Yes — that is the point of it. The FP300 pairs a PIR sensor with 60 GHz mmWave radar, so it detects stationary presence down to breathing-level stillness, and AI spatial learning filters out curtains, fans and small pets to cut false triggers.
FP2 or FP300 — which should I choose?
Choose the FP300 for battery-powered, wire-free presence in a typical room, with temperature, humidity and light readings on board. Choose the FP2 for a large or complex space where you want USB-powered radar dividing the room into up to 30 independent zones. The comparison guide 'Aqara FP1E, FP2 and FP300' in our Articles section covers it in full.
