A single FP2 covers a room up to 40 m² (about 430 sq ft) and splits it into as many as 30 zones — up to 320 cells in all — mapped in the app to the sofa, the bed, a desk, a doorway. Each zone runs its own presence-or-absence automation, so one unit does the work of a houseful of PIR detectors.

Radar-accurate, camera-free, private
Millimetre-wave radar reads the slightest movement — a turn of the head, the rise of a breath — with no camera and nothing to wear. It's far steadier than infrared: it holds you while you're reading, sitting or asleep, where a PIR sensor gives up and switches the lights off. Detection and automations run on the device, so nothing leaves the room and your routines survive a Wi-Fi wobble.

Fall detection is ceiling-mount only (2.5–2.8 m height), identifies most normal falls, and is not a substitute for medical equipment or supervision — it may not register a slow slide down a wall or a collapse after sitting. AI person / pet filtering will be refined through a future OTA update. Bluetooth is reserved for a future Matter feature; Matter support is not guaranteed on the unit sold in Singapore — confirm current status before purchase. To use the sensor in a humid environment, the USB power adapter and wall outlet must also be suitably protected. Works with Apple Home, Home Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Alice — no Aqara hub required.

How is this different from a motion sensor?
A PIR motion sensor only sees movement, so it switches the lights off while you sit still.
