About this property

Paintable sealants and adhesives can accept compatible coatings after the required curing period. Many are intended for water-based paints, but paint composition, flexibility and drying conditions affect the result.

Test the paint and product together before full application. A rigid coating can crack over a moving joint even when it adheres to the sealant.
