Mop wheel, also called a flap wheel, that follows workpiece contours and leaves an even scratch pattern. For wood, metals, plastic, paint, varnish and filler.
As the flaps wear, they continuously expose fresh, unused grit, which keeps the scratch pattern even.
Klingspor developed the abrasive mop wheel over 40 years ago, and it is now widely used in surface finishing. Grinding flaps coated with aluminium oxide are arranged radially in a fan shape and anchored in a resin core. This gives very soft, comfortable grinding that adapts to the workpiece contours and produces a very smooth surface finish.
