These sealants and adhesives are of high elasticity, meaning that they are able to be stretched further without breaking. Another, more technical term, is the modulus of elasticity. These products are of low to medium modulus.

It is important to select the correct elasticity for the application’s anticipated movement of substrates. For example, simplistically speaking, in an expansion joint where there may be large movements, a higher elasticity product can accommodate the movement and function as a sealant effectively. A low elasticity product may not be able to accommodate the movements and fail.

These products have good elasticity, which make them ideal for joints which may have more movement.
