COVID-19 safe management measures

PFE Factory

These were the safe management arrangements we introduced for Phase One of Singapore’s COVID-19 reopening on 2 June 2020. They have since ended and no longer apply.

Operations

We operated throughout the circuit breaker as an essential business approved by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI). From Phase One we reopened on Wednesdays.

Phase One (from 2 June 2020) Circuit breaker (before 2 June 2020)
9am to 4.45pm, Monday to Friday
Closed weekends and public holidays
9am to 4.45pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Closed Wednesdays, weekends and public holidays

Visitors

Only couriers, delivery personnel collecting goods for customers, and visitors with a prior appointment could enter. We served everyone else by phone and email; customers could get in touch with us as usual.

SafeEntry

Employees and visitors checked in and out with SafeEntry using the QR code at our entrances.

Less physical contact

  • Fewer staff were on site and many worked from home, so payments, collections and purchases at our premises took longer.
  • We asked customers to use digital, no-touch payment methods such as bank transfer, GIRO and PayNow.
  • We asked customers to contact us by email, text or phone rather than visit.

Safe distancing and health checks

  • Masks at all times on the premises
  • Safe-distance markers and at least 1 metre between people
  • Hand sanitiser before entry
  • Temperature screening for all visitors; anyone above 37.4°C was turned away
  • A SafeEntry declaration that the visitor was not under quarantine, isolation, Stay-Home Notice or a medical certificate for respiratory symptoms, had no close contact with a confirmed case in the previous 14 days, and had no fever or flu-like symptoms
