Pereseal FR Fire-rated Intumescent Acrylic Sealant
PERESEAL FR is a fire-rated intumescent acrylic sealant for passive fire protection in fire-rated applications.It cures to form a firm yet flexible seal to join a variety of materials and applications. When exposed to heat, PERESEAL FR chars and expands, preventing the spread of heat, smoke, and fire through a joint.

- Fire-rating of up to 4 hours tested by Bodycote Warringtonfire to BS: 476 Part 20: 1987
- Certificate of Conformity issued by TÜV SÜD PSB to Class 1A
- Low VOC – qualifies for LEED IEQc4.1 : Low-Emitting Materials – Adhesives and Sealants (tested by TÜV SÜD PSB)

APPLICATIONS
- For fire-rated sealing in passive fire protection systems
- Internal perimeter pointing of fire-rated doors, window frames, and duct systems
- Sealing joints and voids of fire walls and other fire structures
- Firestopping in cable and pipe penetrations
APPLICATION METHOD
- Application Method: Applicator gun (hand or pneumatic)
- Application Temperature: +1 ºC to +30 ºC
- Clean with: Water immediately after application
- Finish with: Soapy water solution before skin formation
- Repair with: PERESEAL FR
SURFACE PREPARATION
- Substrate: All usual surfaces
- State of Substrate: Clean, dry, free of grease
- No primer required for aluminium, air-conditioner ducting materials, and most porous surfaces of building materials
JOINT SIZE
- Min width: 5mm
- Max width: 50mm
- Min depth: 5mm
- Recommendation: 2 x depth = width
REMARKS
The sealant must be protected from water for 24 hours after application. It must not be used on areas where it will be constantly submerged in liquids.
